Course objectives :
The objective is to provide our customers with the first instructor qualification. It’s a
JAA approved course and gives an adequate training to a pilot, who is not already
instructor, in flight instruction and synthetic instruction in order to instruct efficiently
as TRI or SFI
Privileges :
The privileges of the holder of a TRI rating are to instruct license holders for the issue of a multi-pilot airplane type rating, and the instruction required for multi-crew co-operation
The privileges of the holder of a SFI authorisation are to carry out synthetic flight instruction
for type ratings and the instruction required for multi-crew co-operation
Prerequisites JAR - FCL 1.365 TRI (MPA) and 1.410 SFI (A) :
TRI
Completed at least 1500 hours flight time as a pilot of multi-pilot aeroplanes,
Completed within the 12 months preceding the application at least 30 route sectors;
to include take-offs and landings as pilot-in-command or co-pilot on the applicable
aeroplane type, or a similar type as agreed by the Authority, of which not more than 15
sectors may be completed in a flight simulator.
SFI
Hold or have held a professional pilot license issued by a JAA Member State
Have completed the simulator content of the applicable type rating course,
Have at least 1500 hours flying experience as pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes,
Have completed within a period of 12 months a proficiency check as set out in Appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1240 on a flight simulator of the applicable type, and Have completed within a period of 12 months at least three route sectors as an observer on the flight deck of the applicable type.
Course comprises:
Ground school—Theory 25 hrs.
Full Flight Simulator (right hand seat introduction) 02 hrs.
Simulator training exercise (under supervision) 03 hrs.
